After graduating from Cal Poly, SLO Stacy began her business career as a manager the retail industry.  She worked a short time in retail, and then started leasing office space.  Stacy later became Director of Operations and Human Resources for a high-end audio and editing company in the San Francisco / Bay Area.  In her late twenties, Stacy decided to return to school to obtain her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential which would allow her to teach grades K-8.  Stacy worked in the elementary classroom for about 2 years before starting a family and deciding to stay home as a full-time mother.  Eventually, Stacy missed working with children so she started a small tutoring business where she worked one-on-one with students struggling in Languages Arts and Reading Comprehension for about 5 years.

Over the years, Stacy’s interest began to shift.  She became interested in physical exercise and started to enjoy fitness classes such as step-aerobics and yoga.  Stacy noticed that she would physically feel better if she exercised daily.  Stacy decided to take a 200-hour training course through Yoga Works.  She focused on learning ways to improve body strength, flexibility and balance.  She also learned that these components, encompassing physical poses and postures, strengthen muscles and the core have shown to improve endurance and flexibility, and aid with injury prevention.  For the last 7 years, Stacy has been teaching Healthy Back classes, Strength and Flexibility Classes, and Sports Stretching.  She is excited to have the opportunity to blend her education and teaching skills together to teach students how to keep their bodies safe, healthy, strong, and flexible.

Stacy lives in San Clemente with her husband Mark.  They have been married over 25 years and together they have 3 children: Annalyse (17), Landon (14, and Caylani (10.)  All her children play multiple sports including, softball, baseball, soccer and water sports.   Stacy and Mark make physical fitness a key ingredient to maintaining a healthy life.
